Re:Do Workouts banner for an A/B workout rotation schedule

A/B Workout Rotation Schedule

An A/B rotation is a simple two-workout program: you alternate Workout A and Workout B. The challenge is that it does not always line up with a Monday–Sunday week. Re:Do’s “Every X days” scheduling is a clean fit.

Two ways to schedule A/B rotations

Option 1: alternate every day (A/B/A/B)

Option 2: alternate with recovery days (A/rest/B/rest)

Use a 4-day interval and offset the start dates by 2 days.

Example sequence (Option 2, starting Monday)

This is a rolling pattern (not tied to the week), so the weekdays shift over time while the A/B rhythm stays consistent.

Why this works

Using the same interval for both workouts, but offsetting the start dates, creates a clean alternating A/B pattern. It stays consistent even when the week boundary changes.

Should I use weekly scheduling for A/B?
Use weekly scheduling if you want fixed weekdays. Use “Every X days” if you want the rotation to stay consistent even when weekdays change.
